Who we are

Kanzu Code Limited is a software development company registered in Uganda. We provide enterprise software development, systems integration, and AI implementation services. Our registered address is Grace Courts, SalimBay Road, Ntinda, Kampala, Uganda.

Information we collect

We collect personal information in the following circumstances:

Contact enquiries. When you submit our contact form or email us directly, we collect your name, email address, organisation name, and the contents of your message.
Project engagements. During client work, we may collect contact details for project stakeholders and information necessary to deliver the contracted services.
Website usage. We may collect standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit) for security and performance monitoring purposes.

We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or behavioural analytics tools on this website.

How we use your information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

To respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential engagement
To deliver services under a signed client agreement
To fulfil legal and accounting obligations
To improve the security and performance of our systems

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not use your contact details for marketing without your explicit consent.

Legal basis for processing

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries you initiate, and maintaining the security of our systems.
Contract performance — processing necessary to deliver services to clients under a signed agreement.
Legal obligation — processing required to comply with Ugandan law, tax requirements, or regulatory obligations.

Data retention

We retain enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact. Client project records are retained for a minimum of 7 years to meet accounting and legal requirements. Server log data is retained for up to 90 days.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services in delivering our operations:

Email hosting — our email is hosted by Google Workspace. Emails you send us are processed by Google.
Codeable — we maintain a public profile on Codeable (codeable.io), a freelance platform. Information you share through Codeable is subject to Codeable's own privacy policy.

We do not use third-party contact form processors that retain your submissions independently of us.

International transfers

Kanzu Code Limited is based in Uganda. Some tools we use (including Google Workspace) may process data in jurisdictions outside Uganda. We use services that provide appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your data, where we have no legal obligation to retain it
Object to processing based on legitimate interests
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Our systems use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the data held.

Changes to this notice

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when the notice was last revised. Material changes will be noted on this page.
