About Kanzu Code

Twelve years building software
organizations depend on

Founded in Kampala in 2014. On Codeable since 2017 — 792+ projects delivered, 4.93/5 rating, 152 customers across four continents. This is who we are and how we work.

Our Story

Started with a mission.
Built on delivery.

Kanzu Code was founded in 2014 with a straightforward conviction: that organizations across Uganda and the broader region deserved access to enterprise-grade software development delivered by people who understood their context.

We started as a WordPress development specialist — one of the first Uganda-based teams to achieve recognition on Codeable, the global expert network for WordPress development — and systematically grew our capability from there.

Over twelve years, we have delivered software for international development organizations, healthcare providers, telecommunications companies, and faith-based institutions. Our work has evolved from website engineering into custom business platforms, system integrations, and practical AI implementations.

We remain privately held, Kampala-based, and committed to the same thing we started with: doing what we say, and building software that actually works.

What We Believe

How we approach the work

These aren't values written for a wall. They're the operating principles that shape every engagement.

Start with the problem

We invest time in understanding what you're actually trying to solve before recommending any technology. The right solution starts with the right question.

Engineering discipline

Clean architecture, readable code, version control, proper testing. Not because it's fashionable — because it makes systems easier to maintain and evolve over time.

Clear communication

We tell you what's happening, why decisions are being made, and when something is uncertain. We won't leave you wondering what's going on.

Long-term thinking

We build for what you'll need in three years, not just what ships this sprint. Shortcuts that create future problems aren't savings — they're deferred costs.
